“Late autumn 2023, Italian choreographer Paolo Mangiola reconnected with me and asked me to score his final piece as artistic director for ZfinMalta. The piece revolved around the migration pattern of the Arctic Tern, and dealt with topics as diverse as communication, witch burnings and the exploitation of natural resources. This release version differs slightly from the stage version, but I’ve kept the sequencing and the dramaturgy of the original work.”
